Very Impressed!! I just moved into my new home and immediately noticed two major problems. One, there was water getting behind our gutters and rodents in our attic. I figured the most important was stopping the water first. I contacted Southern Star and Brandon came out that same day. He got on my roof to figure out the problem. He spent about an hour going around the entire house. When he came down, he had taken pictures of what he found so I didn't have to go on the roof to see for myself. The original builder had left the roof sheathing about 3 inches short at the edge. So Brandon came up with an innovative way to resolve the issue that was very cost effective for us. His guys were out there the very next day and had it finished and cleaned up before I got home from work. Brandon took pictures for me throughout the process so I could see what he was doing. Oh yeah, this also solved my rodent problem. So they fixed 2 things for 1 price. Brandon and everyone on his team were kind, courteous and respectful of my property and belongings. Dear Brandon, I am writing you in regards to the job your company just performed on our home. My wife and kept having individuals come to our front door telling us that we had definite storm damage to our roof. Many times these individuals didn’t even go to the roof and perform a proper inspection so we decided to call our insurance company who we have with ALLSTATE. They recommended calling your company (Southern Star Construction) to come out and take a look at our roof. You made us feel very comfortable from the very start to the very finish. You properly examined our roof, took pictures, and explained areas of the roof that had indeed been struck by wind and hail. We felt assured when we finally decided to file the claim. Although not required, you insisted that you wouldn’t have any issue with meeting our insurance adjuster on-site the day of inspection. Needless to say, ALLSTATE approved our claim for a full roof replacement. Everything from that point forward went as smoothly as possible. You outlined the scope of work, explained the differences in product and what would work best for us, you submitted an honest/competitive bid, and you executed the job like a true professional. The crew that you sent to our home had our roof replaced in one day. Their attention to detail was impeccable. They worked hard, were very polite, and did a fantastic job with clean up at the end of the day. I will say that many of our neighbors also had their roofs replaced but we honestly feel that our roof looks the best. We understand how hard it is to find contractors who are completely honest, who takes pride in their work and attention to detail, and who makes sure the customer feels 100% comfortable with whom they are working with. We feel fortunate and blessed that ALLSTATE recommended Southern Star Construction. Everything you mentioned was also backed up in writing with receipts, product warranty, and a workmanship warranty.
